About the founder (Christopher Toyberg-Frandzen)

My journey of leaving the military and the structured world of the Armored Infantry, where I served for six years including tours in Afghanistan, to the dynamic and ever-evolving civilian sector, has been both challenging and enriching. Transitioning from being a Staff Sergeant to navigating the complexities of academia in marketing and sales across three countries, and then delving into the world of banking, I learned to adapt quickly, lead diverse teams, and solve complex problems across different cultures and environments.

Moving into strategy consulting in Melbourne, with esteemed firms like Monitor Deloitte and Publicis Sapient, I translated my military discipline into strategic insights, leading large teams to address critical issues such as the Hotel Quarantine Program and sustainability strategies. Now, as the Head of Strategy at a prominent Retail Technology company, I harness all these experiences, understanding the nuances of transitioning from military precision to civilian innovation.

This journey has instilled in me a profound empathy for those navigating similar paths. I’ve experienced the uncertainties of leaving a structured military life, the challenges of adapting to new academic and corporate cultures, and the thrill of finding new purpose in each role.
